Legal Services of Northwest Minnesota
Legal Services of Northwest Minnesota, commonly called Legal Aid, provides high quality legal representation and community legal education to low-income and elderly persons in 22 northwestern Minnesota counties, using three staffed law offices and 230 private Judicare attorneys. Representation focuses on priority cases, generally those most critical to life, health, safety, shelter, and basic subsistence income. An attorney can help fill out the following types of forms: marriage dissolution (divorce), child support, landlord/tenant, wage claims, garnishment, expungement, custody/parenting time, OFP/HRO, eviction, debt collection, conciliation court and child support.
